Jordan Klug

Mathematics Educator/Instructor

I hold a Bachelor of Geology from North Dakota State University and am currently completing my Graduate Teaching Licensure in Secondary (7-12) Mathematics at the College of St. Scholastica. While I originally set out for a career in exploration and mining geology, I found that after working with students in an educational setting at a museum and volunteering at my children’s school, I wanted to do something more personally fulfilling. The most common phrase I hear in schools is “I’m just not good at math”; however, I believe that every student has the capacity to do well in mathematics. By focusing on conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies to build procedural fluency, I aim to develop a strong foundation in mathematics that sets students up for success and enables them to use it long after our time working together.
